How to register for 2010 Philippine elections?

Yay first blog entry! This first entry that we will provide are instructions on how to register for the upcoming May 2010 Philippine elections. The voting registration consists of only 5 steps so, that isn't much of a hassle, right? :-)

1. Download 3 copies of the 2-page application form. Remember, 3 copies! 3 copies! 3 copies! Okay, 3 copies!

2. Fill out the application form BUUUUUT do not place your thumbmarks yet! (You're supposed to do that in the presence of an authorized officer to confirm the thumbprints!) ;-))

3. Bring a valid I.D. with your photo and signature on it. (Passports, School I.D., Driver's license, SSS I.D., or any other valid I.D. will do!) :-)

4. Submit the form (and don't forget the I.D.!) to any COMELEC office near you! Here's a list of the COMELEC offices in NCR, check this out! :-) Or, if you are not from NCR, you can click and go to this link instead for a list of the regional COMELEC offices. (COMELEC offices are open from Mondays to Saturdays, 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.)

5. Also, upon submitting your application form, you will receive an Acknowledgement receipt to let you know that you are officially a registered voter! ;-)

But, if you are still not satisfied with your Acknowledgement receipt, you can visit this website to see if your registration is considered official! (I believe it would take time to update the list though. Hihi!)

Hurry up because deadline of registration will be on October 31, 2009! :-D October 31, 2009! October 31, 2009! YES!! OCTOBER 31, 2009!!

THAT WASN'T SO HARD, RIGHT? :-)

Oh yeah, the next post will be about the profiles of the 2010 Presidentiables! (Along with their political achievements, so you'd know who to vote!)

Remember, vote wisely! :-)
